Message: I have a 1979 Dodge Magnum XE that I purchased a couple of years ago to be a project car but, unfortunately, there was a loss of interest and time to source needed parts. The car is in somewhat good shape. The body is solid with next to no rust and no major body issues. There is a dent on the truck lid that can be fixed. The body is about 90% complete, it is missing some trim pieces, headlight covers and side marker lights that I never really put time into sourcing from somewhere. The car is NOT running at the moment. It was last started, and driven, about 8 months ago then it just stopped firing up and starting. It is most likely a fuel pump issue. The engine is tired and definitely needs work but it probably does have life left to it. It is the factory original 318 v8 with Lean Burn. The Dodge Magnum XE is black in color and the paint is in really good condition for being factory original, untouched paint. The car features factory installed T-tops, one of less than 3,800 produced for 1979. I paid $2,000 for the car a couple of years ago but am letting it go for $1,100 OBO. This is a solid car that would make a nice project car or, for somebody that has the time, a good car to part out… the bumpers alone can sell for upwards of $300 a piece and each T-top can fetch over $100. I just don’t have the time or resources to restore or part this car out.
Once again, so it is clear, this car is NOT running at the moment and would have to be hauled/towed away by the buyer. It has a clean title and has been registered as a historic vehicle since I bought it.
